Get a group together, put on your visors and glasses, smoke your cigars, and get ready to bet. Here is what you will need for the most authentic home poker party possible.
One: Get an Octagon poker table with the real green and red felt.
Two: Customized poker chips, name your casino and give all your chips a look that’s completely ownable. You should probably have about 1000 chips, just in case.
Three: More than three sets of playing cards. Don’t get plain ones either, get some high quality, rounded corners, casino like playing cards.

Five: The best poker books you can find, in case the rules get a little blurry throughout the night.
Six: Of course you need snacks, drinks, and smokes. It just wouldn’t be a party without finger food and it wouldn’t be a poker tournament without cigars and cigarillos.
When setting up a poker environment, make it in a basement or somewhere cooler in the house, with lots of room for breathing. Take into account how many people you’ll be having beforehand and plan accordingly. You can stretch your theme a little further and set up a mini bar or outside tiki bar.
